Can you mail our YourSchool newsletters directly to our schools?

Yes, we can! Starting with the 2009 Back to School issue of YourSchool we have been able to mail your YourSchool newsletter directly to your schools.

How much will it cost to directly mail the newsletter to our schools?

All mailing, labeling, postage and handling to mail your YourSchool newsletters directly to your schools will be $0.44 (or the current price of a single first class postage stamp) per copy. That's the same price that you will pay to mail it yourself. For that cost we will mail it to your schools via Standard mail. The address will be printed directly on the newsletter (no labels!) and mailed by a professional mailing house. We are able to achieve the discount in postage by having your address list barcoded, sorted and delivered to the post office ready for them to ship to your local area.

How do we prepare our addresses for direct mail?

We must have your addresses in an Excel file in a very specfic format. You can click here to download a file that is correctly formatted. Please use this file, rename it with your last name.xls (Smith.xls) and send it back to us via e-mail. We will add coding to this file and send it back to you with specific instructions. We will merge it into our master database and send it to the mailing house.

How do I make changes to my school addresses?

To make changes to your school addresses or names, just make them in the Excel file we send back to you (with coding) and send us a copy of that file via e-mail. We will merge it right into our master file. We regret that we cannot make individual changes to schools or adviser names.

How early do you need corrections to the file you are using to label my newsletters.

In order to prep it for mailing, we need to have your Excel file with all changes by the first day of the month previous to mailing. For instance to make changes for the mailing of the December newsletter we need your Excel file on November 1. Any changes sent after November 1 will be reflected in the January mailing.

Postal PermitWhat postmark will the newsletter have on it?

We have obtained a postal permit that allows us to mail your newsletter with a simple indice that says "Postage Paid Jostens" with no city noted.
